A 6-week system created by a physician for people who are DONE with diet culture, and ready to change their relationship with eating, shed the body shame, and finally feel good in their bodies — at any size.
Are you living in the If-Only Zone — where your happiness is dependent on your size?
You’re searching for the magic formula to make your weight worries disappear.
You have a big appetite — and always have — and it runs your life.
You’ve been led to believe you can’t be welcome or accepted in your body.
Your mind is occupied with thoughts of food, eating, exercise, and all the “shoulds” of weight loss.
You get judgmental looks in public, which triggers a lot of body dissatisfaction and discomfort — but it doesn’t make you healthier.
You feel like your body size is the one thing that’s holding you back, despite being successful in every other area of your life.
And let me guess — you’ve tried every single weird diet pill, formula, shake, exercise program and gadget on the planet — and you’re left feeling no different and maybe worse.
Can I just pause here to say, I feel your pain?
Because I do.
I did. But before we get to my story, let me ask:
I can sense your confusion.
After all, a lot of companies have spent a lot of money trying to convince you that your body is a problem and diets are the solution.
So, let’s put an end to that lie, right here and now.
If you’re turning to weight loss to feel better, you’re not alone. And if you’ve tried one of the billion diets out there and “failed” – you’re in good company.
Every year 45 million people try to lose weight by dieting.
95% of diets fail the people who try them because the weight loss is only temporary.
The average dieter will try 126 fad diets in their lifetime.
Diets are a short-term fix for a deeper issue. They simply don’t work for most people most of the time — hence the need to go on the next one and the next one.
They’re banking on the fact that you think your body is a problem to be fixed.
Imagine — the one diet that gets you results instantly, is easy to stick to long term, and that you even enjoy. Surely, it must be out there because those are the exact sales messages being pitched to you by every diet product. They all promise to work wonders.
In reality, diet culture has a lot at stake in keeping you unhappy with your body and desperate for change. They want you to feel like you have to lose weight, or be a certain size to be validated as a human being. But it’s not true. The entire reason dieting is a multi-billion-dollar industry is because diets don’t work! (Mind blowing, right?)
Even if you’ve been holding onto hope that you’ll find “the one” diet someday, you can still get to the actual root of your suffering and kick dieting to the curb.
But this isn’t just your opinion. You’re basing it on facts — your BMI, your weight, your waist-to-hip ratio. Numbers don’t lie. Your doctor says you need to lose weight. Your partner, family, and friends are concerned too. It seems like everyone agrees — your body and weight are a problem. In response, you go on another diet.
This is where I’m going to ruffle some white coats. The vast majority of doctors don’t understand the root causes of weight gain, weight stigma, or what it’s like to live in a larger body. I’m a doctor, and for many years, I didn’t understand the problem, or the treatment.
Here’s what I discovered: Diets and exercise are NOT a “treatment” for being in a larger body.
In fact, going this route can make life worse for the patient. The truth is, weight bias in medical and social contexts wrongly equates thinness with health. Therefore, people in larger bodies are often prescribed weight loss as the gold standard treatment for a healthy, meaningful life.
Even if you’ve been a chronic dieter for decades, you can still find peace with your body.
Everywhere you turn you see filtered perfection. Sculpted, slim, seemingly ageless bodies are not only touted as beautiful, our society DEMANDS your body to look like this to be accepted. Otherwise, you are treated as less than. Even with recent body positivity trends, larger bodies (really any deviation outside of the strict parameters) are stigmatized.
You probably internalized this message of good bodies vs. bad bodies at a young age and accepted it as the truth. No one can blame you. After all, you’re bombarded with diet culture and body shaming messages every day. Your body is not a problem to be fixed. It’s how you think about your body that’s the root of suffering. And it’s not your fault. Your body isn’t the problem — diet culture is.
Even if you grew up believing your body is bad, or that larger bodies are bad, you can completely free yourself from these lies.
By now, you might be wondering how this process works, if it really works, and when you can get started. I’ve got answers.
The secret to lasting, sustainable change isn’t found in any diet.
Your big appetite?
Also, not the problem.
The secret is in understanding and responding to your appetite.
Appetite literacy – and understanding how diet culture pulls on your mind – is the answer.
Your “it’s complicated” relationship status with food is unnatural and caused by diet culture. There’s a simple, new way to relate to food by using your appetite as a signal — not a command.
Your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs determine your acceptance of your body. You can enjoy and accept your body now — no matter what anyone else says, or what the “numbers” say.
Your body isn’t a problem to be fixed. Reaching an “ideal” weight and being healthy are NOT the same thing — even the medical field is way behind on this.
So, let me tell you more about my story and how we’ll get you there.
My appetite does not run my life. In fact, it’s my superpower.
I’ve been a fat doctor, a thin doctor, a pregnant doctor, and everything in-between.
I’m acutely aware of this spectrum because I can’t recall a time in my life when my size wasn’t a factor. It has always been a core influencer of how I’ve been treated, received, and understood.
The messages I got, even in my family with larger bodies, was this: “Size matters and smaller is better.”
I’ve been on all of the diets you can name since the tender age of 12 and have been in recovery from an eating disorder for over a decade now.
Even as a physician, I struggled with my weight, body image, obsessive food thoughts, and eating.
Everything changed for me when I realized my appetite was a SIGNAL and not a COMMAND.
That empowered me to create eating experiences and make eating decisions that were intentional and rooted in my values. And it allowed me to stay motivated with my goals for health and longevity.
By remapping my process around hunger and eating, I freed up my mind, energy, and resources and released the pain and shame around my hunger.
I reverse engineered my appetite from thoughts to experience and developed a thought system that’s quick and easy and can be applied to any situation — no matter the circumstances. The intention is not to control your body, but to invite you to experience your appetite for what it is and be free to live your life.
These days, a very small part of my brain is dedicated to food and eating. The rest is available to focus on my work and be present for my family and friends — to give my time and energy to what matters to me.
I’ve taken all of my clinical, educational, cultural, and personal experience and turned it into
a step-by-step system to help you retrain your response to your appetite and liberate yourself from diet culture forever.
A 6-week system created by a physician for people who are DONE with diet culture, and ready to retrain their appetite, change their relationship with eating, shed the body shame, and finally feel good in their bodies — at any size.

When I created Responsive Eating™ for myself, it had to be simple, flexible, and adaptable.
At the time, I had a lot of challenges: shift work, no time to meal plan and shop, limited kitchen access, small kid, a massive workload, and work traveling to name a few.
Can you relate?
Everyone has a busy life and their own unique barriers to being in a healthy relationship with eating.
That’s why Responsive Eating™ is easy to learn and practice. It’s quick and can be done anytime, anywhere.
This system will FREE up so much space in your brain for living your life because you won’t be fretting about ridiculous diet rules and protocols.
Responsive Eating™ also acknowledges how diet culture pressures your eating experiences, affects your body image, and influences how others treat you — but Responsive Eating™ does more than that.
It helps you fight back.
If you’re like me and the people I’ve helped, you’re sick and tired of dieting. You know it doesn’t work, and you’ve been searching for a way out.
I invite you to join me, and let’s spend the next 6 weeks turning your appetite into your superpower.
